Beaded Necklace “Podillia"

This gerdan is built around a central diamond motif — one of the most enduring elements of traditional Ukrainian design. In folk symbolism, the diamond represents balance, continuity, and protection, often placed along a vertical axis to create a sense of order and harmony.

The structure of this pattern follows a clear композиційна логіка: a defined center, symmetrical expansion, and a cascading flow of bead strands. Such compositions were especially characteristic of the Carpathian region, where ornamentation was both decorative and symbolic.

Each piece is handcrafted in Ukraine using traditional beadwork techniques. Subtle variations in pattern and length may occur, making every gerdan unique.
